Credit Suicide
Posted by Anonymous | Article Published 10/1/2006 | Unrated
Few things influence the home buying process more than your credit. I like how Clark Howard refers to the three credit repositories as, the three screw-ups. There is some validity to that, and hopefully recent legislation will help clean up many of the inaccuracies. Regardless, lenders need a source to determine levels of risk for lending moneyG and the Fair Isaac Company is where it lies. (Note: Fair was one of their last namesG doesn't necessarily denote fairness

Joke of the Day
|
Math Problems Young Larry stopped by the corner grocery store and read the following list to the clerk:
10 pounds sugar at $1.25 a pound
4 pounds coffee at $1.50 a pound
2 pounds butter at $1.10 a pound
2 bars soap at $.83 each
"How much does that come to?" asked Larry.
"Twenty-two dollars and thirty-six cents."
"If I gave you three ten dollar bills, how much change would I get?" said the boy.
"Seven dollars and sixty-four cents," stated the clerk who appeared to be irritated by all the questions.
Larry said, as he disappeared through the door, "I don't want to buy the items...that's our arithmetic lesson for tomorrow, and I needed some help with it."

Quote of the Day
|
"No leader sets out to become a leader. People set out to live their lives, expressing themselves fully. When that expression is of value, they become leaders. So the point is not to become a leader. The point is to become yourself, to use yourself completelyùall your skills, gifts, and energiesùin order to make your vision manifest. You must withhold nothing. You must, in sum, become the person you started out to be and enjoy the process of becoming."
- Warren Bennis, From an article in a meeting industry magazine.
